About Us
We envision Uganda with environmentally-conscious and prospering communities coexisting alongside thriving populations of wildlife
Our mission is to assist communities to develop in a sustainable and environmentally-conscious manner and to support wildlife conservation projects for future generations.
And we arrange this by supporting organisations with projects that aim for the long-term conservation of wildlife and their habitats, together with concepts that are environmentally friendly, income generating schemes for communities, co-existing with wildlife conservation areas around Uganda.
Earth provides enough to satisfy every man's needs, but not every man's greed.

Our Story
The Future Generations Trust (FGT) was established in 2019 and is overseen by a Board of Trustees, each of whom brings a different area of related expertise to the board. Together, they provide guidance and assistance to ensure good governance and accountability for the FGT’s projects and funding.
This funding comes primarily from guests at Wild Frontiers and Exclusive Camps and Lodges Uganda, with each guest’s accommodation cost contributing to the FGT’s regular income. In addition to this, donations and pledges of further funds are provided by various interested parties.
Given FGT’s limited capacity, we make the most of our funds by identifying and partnering with established, successful organisations that follow our same aims and goals and are doing incredible work. At present, we contribute to Uganda Conservation Foundation, Ride 4 a Women, Batwa Empowerment Village, and Bwindi Community Hospital, to name just a few.
In addition to this, we also offer direct support to several rural communities in areas where tourism and wildlife meet, such as the Ishasha Community Uplift Group beside Queen Elizabeth National Park in southwestern Uganda. This community faces daily challenges, including crop-raiding by animals from the nearby park, which can have a huge impact as they work their land towards earning a living to support their families. By setting up a community Savings and Credit scheme which allows them to work together to build up larger savings, the community has been able to invest in additional land for farming as well as income-bearing projects such as chicken and goat rearing.
An additional educational tourism activity in the area, Agartha’s Taste of Uganda Tour, also helps to generate income for the community. Agartha is a craftswoman, tailor, and subsistence farmer who welcomes visitors into her homestead and shares knowledge about how the women of the Bakiga tribe prepare their local food and keep their homes. During this fascinating interactive tour, which can be booked as part of your Ugandan safari, Agartha weaves together stories of Bakiga life, whilst encouraging her guests to taste the food that they have prepared together.
As “Future Generations Trust” suggests, we wish to establish things for the long-term future, so we think carefully about each project we take on. It is only through looking to the future that we can create sustainable impacts that have true long-term benefits.
